The 2019 LIFE IN MY CITY ART FESTIVAL (LIMCAF) Southeast region exhibition held on Thursday 5th September 2019 at Alliance Francaise Enugu. The Festival aims to position art for social development through youth empowerment.
The event was formally declared open by Chief Ben Etiaba, the immediate past Chairman of Enugu Sports Club. The event was widely attended by artists and art lovers in the region.
LIFE IN MY CITY ART FESTIVAL(LIMCAF) is one of the top 3 high profile events in Africa within the international art events calendar.

The Patrons of LIMCAF are; His Royal Majesty Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe CFR, and Emeritus Professor EL Anatsui. LIMCAF was founded by Chief Robert Orji (MD Rocana Nigeria Ltd).
On the Board of LIMCAF are; Elder K.U Kalu CON – Chairman (Fmr Chairman, Union Bank), Mr Kelvin Ejiofor – Executive Director (Fmr DG FRCN), Barr. Peter Eze (Fmr Chairman National Gallery of Art), Dr. Ayo Adewunmi – Art Director (Chief Lecturer, I.M.T. Enugu), Mr Vin Martin Obiora Ilo (CEO Signature TV), Chief Lorreta Aniagolu (Managing partner FIT Consult), Mr. Tayo Adenaike (Principal Consultant, Art Sales), Dr. Gerrard Chouin (Former Director Alliance Francaise), Mrs. Uche Elega (Rep. Rocana Nig. Ltd.), and The Director of Alliance Francaise, Enugu.
LIMCAF was established in 2007, and was registered as a Trusteeship in 2012 under the name Life in My City Art Initiate. It hosts an annual celebration of creativity featuring young talents in the Nigerian art landscape, the biggest art event in Nigeria. The festival features visual art competition, festival lecture, pan-African photography contest (photo Africa), school children and art teachers’ workshops, multimedia workshop and the Award and Gala Night.
The festival will witness the following events; Opening of the Grand Finale Exhibition, Opening of photo Africa Exhibition, Exhibitions in various venues across Enugu, ICT and Multimedia Workshop, Art Teachers Workshop for secondary and primary School art Teachers, Art Workshop for secondary School (children from across Enugu State), Music Night For sponsors, Jury, LIMCAF family and stakeholders, Sightseeing Guided Tour of Enugu and Environs, Gala and Award Night Presentation of LIMCAF Special Prizes and other Endowed Prizes, Cocktails.
The exhibition centers will be opened in other regions across the country. The SouthSouth region exhibition is scheduled to hold on the 14th of September 2019 in Port-Harcourt. Other dates will be made public as it draws closer.
