EEDC Reveal Plans To Ensure Customers’ Electricity Education And Service Satisfaction

Nigeria has joined the rest of the world to mark this year’s Customer Service Week (CSW).

In the same vein, The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) has revealed its plans and its lined-up programs meant to ensure customers’ enlightenment and satisfaction.

The Head, Communications of EEDC, Chukwuemeka Ezeh, said in a statement on Sunday in Enugu that the company would be joining the rest of the World to observe the week, which runs from Monday, Oct. 7 to Saturday, Oct. 12.

Ezeh noted that during the week, management staff of the company would attend and interact directly with customers that come into all its offices from Monday as part of activities to mark this year’s CSW.

“Precisely, on Tuesday, Oct. 8; we, both office and field staff, will be doing a door-to-door visitation of customers. While on Oct. 9, we will be visiting our Maximum Demand (MD) customers.

“During this week, we will visit some selected secondary schools for career and safety talk on electricity and our operations.

“On Friday, Oct. 11, we will do a presentation of gifts to appreciate identified customer-centric staff (both from headquarters and our districts) scattered within the five states of the South-East.

“On Saturday, Oct. 12, we will engage in a market storm (roadshow) with special focus on Know Your Customer (KYC) and identifying illegal consumers,’’ he said.

The EEDC spokesman noted it was expected that this year’s outing would be a lot better, “as we shall be delivering a higher level of service, thereby surpassing our last year’s achievement’’.
