Igbo Presidency Won’t End Biafra Agitation — Nnamdi Kanu

What Nnamdi Kanu Demanded From Jonathan's Govt

The Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, has said that individuals clamoring for Igbo Presidency in 2023 are chasing the wind.

Kanu said this in a live broadcast on Radio Biafra, on Monday, October 7th, 2019.

We recall that several Igbo groups including the Ohanaeze Youth Council, OYC, had called on other ethnic groups in Nigeria to support the Igbo presidency project, saying that it would end the agitation for a sovereign state of Biafra.

Speaking in his latest broadcast, Kanu stated that “the idea that the Igbo presidency will end the agitation for Biafra is nonsense.”

He said that the presidency coming to the Southeast will not make the lives of those living in the region any better, arguing that the North has the presidency but still has beggars, banditry, and camps for Internally Displaced Persons, IDP.

“Having the presidency will not make your life better, the North has the presidency but has beggers, banditry, and IDP camps,” Kanu said.

The IPOB leader further said, “Igbo presidency is a dream, it’s like second Niger bridge and Ogoni cleanup.”
