The Imo State governor, Emeka Ihedioha have hailed the former INEC Chairman, Prof. Maurice Iwu for his contribution to health development in the country especially in the area of traditional medicine.
Gov. Ihedioha who made a speech at the 2019 HerbFest, a symposium and exhibition event held at the All Seasons Hotel, Owerri on Wednesday sought Prof Iwu’s collaboration in a bid to develop the health sector in Imo State.

They appreciated his contribution and discipline in serving the nation and how he also returned to the world of medicine especially in Imo State where he has contributed a great wealth to medicine in the state not forgetting that he opened a pharmaceutical firm in Umunna.
He further assured that next year the government will give even more attention to hosting the Annual Health Tourism Program conceptualised by the former INEC chairman.
