Group Accuses Speaker House Assembly Of Being An Errand Boy To The Governor.

A group of youths from the Isiala Mbano Youths Movement has accused the speaker of the state house of assembly of being an errand boy and bodyguard to the governor thereby abandoning his legislative duties.

The group vowed to start a counter-movement to make sure the legislative member, Chiji Collins is recalled by his constituents.

The leader of the group, Kelechi Uzomah told newsmen that the youth group also said that since he emerged as a speaker, he hasn’t been close to his constituency and that his body language has shown that if allowed to retain office as the representative of Isiala Mbano Constituency, the people would gain nothing but regrets. He also said that a stitch in time saves mine and that the earlier he is recalled, the better things would become and that as it stands now, there’s nothing left meaningful he has in package for his constituency as he is busy chasing shadows and personal aggrandizement.

Amongst other allegations, he has drastically slashed the salaries of appointees on claims that they had become embarrassing to the people of Isiala Mbano.

He further added that having been convicted in far away Italy can no longer enjoy their mandate.
He insisted that Collins must be recalled to serve as a warning to other leaders in the plum political position who may turn out to take their people as a joke.

Collins won his people’s mandate under the All Progressives Grand Alliance and joined the People’s Democratic Party three days after emerging speaker of the house unopposed.
