Rex Okechukwu on behalf of the members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party, Ozonkpu Oye said that the Obi of Onitsha had turned Onitsha around for good, describing him as a modeled peacemaker and a unifier
The statement read in part, ‘Your pragmatic and people-oriented leadership has repositioned Onitsha not only as a 21st-century kingdom but as one of the best dwelling places in Nigeria.’ You have established and sustained a traditional and cultural standard revered national and internationally. We pray God to give you a long life, good health, and wisdom to continue in the good work you are doing for Onitsha and Ndi Igbo in general by enhancing the customs and traditions of the people.
