Just In: Minimum Wage: NLC Commence Strike Tomorrow

Following their plead to implement the 30,000 Minimum wage as agreed with the Federal Government, The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has Today issued a Notice of strike action to all its member’s nationwide.

NLC, after a meeting with the Federal Government mandated all workers in the federation to embark on an indefinite nationwide strike with effect from 16th October 2019 Over Minimum Wage agitation.

With this development, the National Secretariat of Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) has also directed all its chapters to mobilize Members for minimum wage compliance. The Executive Council of the Commission’s chapter wished to inform all members to fully participate in the industrial action.

According to the release signed by its secretary Comrade Opara Chinedu B, “Our members in the security unit of the commission shall be part of the exercise, as management committee has been duly informed to provide an alternative to secure the office complex in the course of the action.
