Newly registered Akwa United midfielder, Ifeanyi Ifeanyi, has revealed that financial issues forced him out of the Algerian outfit, ES Setif. It was widely reported that the player had signed for the Algerian outfit and he did sign for the club.

However, the report surfaced that he had made a detour to Nigeria after a failed stay at the former Algerian champions.

Speaking an interview, the lanky and highly experienced midfielder said he had to a severe relationship with the club because they were passing through challenging times financially and could not meet his wages.

“The club is having financial trouble and they could not meet my demand. You know we play this game because of the fact that we have families to take care of and all that.

“I tried but as I said, it is all about the money so I could not continue and Akwa United had to resign me,” he said.

On his next move when the next transfer window comes, the player, who shone like a million stars with the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Football Club before Akwa United snapped him up, said it all fall into the hands of his manager.

“I am hoping for something in the next transfer window but that will depend on my manager; my own is to play and right now, I am a player of Akwa United.
