Golden Eaglets duo of Samson Tijani and Ibrahim Said have revealed that their mindsets are focused on winning the FIFA U-17 World Cup and that Netherlands cant’s stand on their dreams.
Tijani, who is the captain of the team revealed in an interview that the players are willing to bounce back from their 2-1 loss against Australia.
“I know this team and these players possess the effort to keep fighting back, no matter the situation,” said Tijani.
“We don’t relent,” Tijani told FIFA.com of his team’s proclivity for late rallies.
“We don’t give up easily. We force ourselves to keep pushing until we get the win.”
“It gives us more confidence to push harder, knowing what our country has worked for and that they are behind us,” Tijani said.
“So we’ll keep pushing.”
On the other hand, hattrick hero against Ecuador, Said said that the team is determined to win the World Cup regardless of the opposition they face.
“We want to bring this World Cup back to Nigeria,” Said said. “I want to make my country proud of the team.”
