JUST IN: Anambra Vision 2070 Development Plan Committee Inaugurated By Governor Obiano (Photos)

Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state today, Thursday, 21st November 2019 inaugurated the Anambra 50-Year Development Plan Committee.

The Committee is chaired by former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo.

Other members of the Committee include Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, Chief Primus Odili, Barr Uju Nworgu, Prof Kate Omenugha, Mr. Ifeatu Onejeme, Mr. Mark Okoye, Mr. Patrick Okigbo, Engr Chris Okoye, Mr. Ben Akabjeze, Capt. Iheanacho Ebjbeogu, John Okakpu, Ltd. DIG Val Ntomchukwu, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, and Hon Chudi Offodile, Dr. Ikem Odumodu.

Also on the list are Professor Enis Idemobi, Prof Uche Amazigo, Engr Emeka Eze, Dr Olisa Agbakoba SAN, Mr Mac Atasie, Amb Emma Okafor, Mr CDon Adinuba, Chief Tony Onyima, Senator Ikechukwu Obiorah, Air Vice Marshal Ben Chiobi, Mazi Chike Nwegbe, Mrs Uche Onwuamaegbu-Ugwu, Chief Uche Nworah among others.

The committee has an initial period of nine months to conclude and submit its report to the State government.

Inaugurating the Committee, Governor Obiano announced that the composition of the members of the Committee was on a bi-partisan basis.

Membership was also drawn from non-Anambra indigenes.

He charged the Committee to draft a 50-year development plan for Anambra state that Ndi Anambra and the South East will be proud of.

Amongst other charges, he asked the Committee to craft a vision and mission statement for Anambra state. Identify specific sectors the state should focus on, development measurement frameworks, determine critical milestones and success factors, etc.

The Governor said Anambra Vision 2070 plan is for the security, prosperity, and happiness of Ndi Anambra. The Committee was given 9 months to complete its assignment.
