Anambra Govt Set To Digitalize Ministry Of Lands

The Ministry of Lands, Physical Planning and Rural Development under the purposely leadership of the Honourable Commissioner, Mr Bonaventure Enemali, signed a pact with TEQBRIDGE Limited, to digitalize and improve the productivity of the Ministry.

The ground breaking event took place earlier at the conference room of the Ministry and had a representative from TegBridge Limited and Internal Revenue Service.

In his remark, before the official signing of the document, the visionary Commissioner who left a solid footprint at the Ministry of Youth and Creative Economy, stated that for the first time the Ministry Lands will operate a Geospatial Information System, which when implemented will help reduce or eliminate Land theft, Land Scrapping, supper-imposition and multiple Land allocation.

Other benefits, according to the Commissioner, will include the provision of online 24/7 electronic web portal for online public transaction, inquiry or order, and providing a solution able to issue bankable C of O within 5 to 10 working days.

The GIS is also posed to improve the State IGR for sustainable development through property enumeration and as well perfect collecting and related revenue using the State approved revenue platform, AIRS.

The Chairman of Anambra Internal Revenue Service, Dr David Nzegwe, who was present at the auspicious event, stated that the signing of the agreement marks the beginning of a more robust digitalized ways of improving the State IGR and blocking loopholes.

Mr Mbanugo Udenze of TEQBRIDGE assured the ministry of implementing the programme within the specified period which will lead ultimately to better Services and improved revenue.

With the signing of the documents, done and dusted, the Commissioner assured that His Excellency, Governor Willie Obiano, in no distance time will be ground to commission the project.
