Ikpeazu Approves Dissolution Of Abia Traditional Rulers Council

Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, the Abia State Governor, has approved the dissolution of the leadership of the Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers with immediate effect.

This was contained in a terse statement issued by the State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Sir Gabriel Onyendilefu and obtained by newsmen on Thursday morning.

The Governor also approved a four-man Committee made up of eminent Traditional Rulers to work out the modalities for the selection of a new leadership.

Eze Eberechi Dick, the immediate past Chairman of Abia State Traditional Rulers Council is named as chairman of the committee, according to the statement.

Others are; Eze Dr. Ezo Ukandu, Eze Dr Isaac Ikonne and Eze John Akaliro.
