Chelsea boss, Frank Lampard, has revealed that Aston Villa assistant manager, John Terry told him “well done” on the pitch after the Blues’ defeated his team 2-1 in the Premier League on Wednesday night.
Lampard, who played alongside Terry during their time together at Chelsea and England national team respectively, said it was tough for the ex-defender to return to Stamford Bridge.
Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount’s goals ensured Chelsea defeated Aston Villa.
However, Mahmoud Hassan scored a goal for the visitors at Stamford Bridge.
“John Terry didn’t say much, just well done on the pitch,” Lampard said at his post-match press conference after the game.

“It is tough coming back. Respect both ways is huge.” Lampard’s men will now tackle Everton in their next Premier League fixture this weekend.
