29 Suspects Arrested By EFCC For Internet Fraud In Imo

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) operatives on Friday, December 13, arrested 29 persons suspected to be involved in internet fraud in three different locations in Owerri, Imo State.

The suspects were arrested after a three-day watch on their hideouts in both Bishops Courts’ Malo Lodge, Umuagu Mbieri, and King David’s Suite in Owerri.

A 16-year-old boy who is an undergraduate was also found among those arrested.

EFCC believed that the suspects do use different fake names to defraud or deceive their victims.

Retrieved from them were five cars, including Lexus RX 350, 2013 model, Lexus RX 330, 2009 model, Lexus ES 300, 2002 model, Toyota Corolla Sport, and Toyota as well as Gadgets such as 15 laptops, phones, and computer hard-drives.
