Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki on Sunday said that he is in firm control of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

According to him, all state APC officials operate in the state, not from Abuja.

Obaseki, through his Special Adviser on Media and Communication Strategy Crusoe Osagie, said Col. Imuse and Lawrence Okah were members of the Edo Peoples Movement bent on causing a crisis in the state.

He said Imuse, Okah and other EPM chieftains were operating from Abuja because they do not have any political base in Edo.

“Obaseki has firm control of the APC in Edo State where the party is supposed to be functioning. All the party officials are in Edo. Why are Imuse and others holed up in Abuja?

“It is because they don’t have a political base. They cannot be taken seriously. How can Obaseki leave the APC where he is in firm control?
