Anambra Govt Dissolves Umudioka Town Union, Sets Up Caretaker Committee

Because of the ongoing crisis in Umudioka community, Dunukofia local government area and security concerns arising therefore, the state government has dissolved with immediate effective, the leadership of the Town Union and a Caretaker Committee is hereby set up.

The thirteen member caretaker committee has Mr. Samuel Udoji from Umuchigbo as Chairman, Mr. Uche Malobi Vice Chairman and Mr. Uche Nwufor Secretary.

The committee whose membership reflected the villages of Umudioka has terms of reference that included restoring peace in the community and conducting Town Union election within three months and must be observed by officials from the state and local government.

The committee has tenure of three months with effect from twenty-fourth of December 2019 to achieve it’s terms of reference unless otherwise extended.
