Christmas: Cleric Advises Christians In Nnewi To Identify With Christ (Photos)

Christians in Nnewi has been advised to identify and emulate Jesus Christ, who sacrificed himself for the sake of mankind.

Speaking during the Christmas Service at the Cathedral Church of St. Mary’s Uruagu Nnewi, the officiating Minister, Ven. Nelson Emeonu, advised Christians to reflect on the real reason for Christmas.

According to the Priest, many people who are celebrating Christmas are yet to identify with Christ, who is being celebrated.

He urged Christian and Non-Christians not to be carried away by merriments associated with the season but to reflect deeply on the earthly mission of Christ and ensure that they imbibe the teachings of Christ in their lives.

Speaking further, he advised Christians to show love and extend charity to the poor, noting that the season should be a time for healing and renewing of strength.
