As the street lighting project of the Obiano administration keeps expanding, touching the various areas of the state, residents of the state and visitors have continued to hail the novel idea.
At Ifite quarter of Awka metropolis, where the poles and bulbs have been rising and a glowing since December, 2019, residents said they would never forget Governor Willie Obiano, for lighting up the dark streets and popular joints.

Business is booming with the bright and properly secured environment, residents are spending less on hospital bills now, since they have restored positive living via long hours of winding down the day’s hectic hours.
At other parts of Ifite Awka, where the street lights have touched, businesses now run their full cycle till late nights, just as customers breeze in and out of the super markets, business centres, restaurants and bars, enthusiastically.

Another fruit seller along First Market, Ifite Road said market is picking up since light became a permanent feature of that vicinity, from evening till day break.
Most of the respondents hail Gov Obiano for the idea, which they say has lots of benefits, economically and socially.
