Just In: Imo Assembly Bans Protests In Imo State

The Imo House of Assembly has banned any further protest in the state. It warned protests have become dangerous events exposing residents to danger in Imo.

The Assembly also warned the PDP to stop crying wolf over the ruling of the Apex Court on Tuesday 14th January on the governorship election in the state.

The lawmakers also passed a vote of confidence on Governor Hope Uzondinma and the Supreme Court.

Yesterday, Imolites under the aegis of Concerned Imolites Forum took to the Street to record their grievances against the January 14th Supreme Court Judgment which nullified the election of H.E. Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, CON, and declared the person who came 4th on the Election Day winner.

The group led by its National Patron Charles Oputa, Charly Boy, matched in a peaceful procession from the ancestral Ugwu Ekwema to Fire Service where they addressed a large majority of Imo populace who joined the solidarity match.

The group called on the Supreme Court to take a second look at the 14th of January Judgment on Imo Guber and correct the errors, while setting it aside by restoring the mandate given to Emeka Ihedioha by the people of Imo State on March 9th, 2019.
