Just In: Police Impose Dusk-To-Dawn Curfew In Bayelsa

The Nigerian Police Force, Bayelsa State Command has imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew for three days in the state following the outbreak of violence.

The curfew may not unconnected to the violence that greeted the issuance of certificate of return to the PDP governorship candidate, Diri Douye by INEC on Friday after the supreme court nullified the election of the governor-elect of Bayelsa state, David Lyon.

There were reports of attacks on the residence of the new governor-elect and the PDP secretariat by suspected hoodlums.

The suspected hoodlums set the PDP secretariat on fire and as well destroyed some properties at the residence of the new governor-elect of the state.
