The southeast Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture(SECCIMA) held an Investiture programme for Mr. Humphrey Ngonadi as the third president of SECCIMA and the inauguration of the Executive council yesterday, 19th February 2020, in Nnewi, Anambra State.
The event was chaired by Dr. Cletus Ibeto(Omekannaya), Chairman Ibeto Group. In his Chairmanship speech, he praised the efforts of the Chamber of Commerce and how far they have come. He encouraged the new president of SECCIMA, Mr. Ngonadi to carry out his responsibilities without fear or Favour to any party.
The decoration of Mr. Humphrey Ngonadi was properly done by Hajia Saratu Iya Aliyu, the National President of the National Association of Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture(NACCIMA). The official handover was made by IDE J. C. Udeagala (the past president of SECCIMA) to Mr. Ngonadi.
Mr. Humphrey Ngonadi has been an entrepreneur in the Automotive industry. He was the president of the Nnewi chamber of commerce industry, mines and agriculture between 2011-2016. He is also the patron NACCIMA business women group(NAWORG) Anambra State chapter.
Mr. Ngonadi is the Chairman and CEO of NGOBROS & COMPANY NIGERIA LIMITED.
In his acceptance speech, the SECCIMA president said he is grateful to everyone for their support including the governors of the five Eastern states, the NACCIMA president and many others for the sacrifices that have been made in the past. He promised to uphold the responsibility given to him and his excos.
*Awards and Recognition*
Awards were given to deserving members. The Governors of Anambra state and Ebonyi State who were represented by their deputies, Dr. Nkem Okeke and Dr. Eric Kelechi Igwe respectively were awarded for their support to the chamber of commerce in the region. Dr. Eric Igwe said the government of Ebonyi State will continue to show their support to SECCIMA.

Dr. Nkem Okeke also reiterated that the government of Anambra state will support SECCIMA. Dr. Okeke promised to take back the proposal for a bus for SECCIMA to the governor, Willie Obiano. He urged the group to place southeast business on the National map.
Dr. Cletus Ibeto(Omekannaya) was given an award as the patron of SECCIMA. Also, Barr. Okey Nzenwa(investor Golden Guinea) was given an Award of Excellence in Entrepreneurship. Barr. Nzenwa said, “this is an emotional one for me”. He recalled how he started his business in Oil and gas and now to beverages in Umuahia. He said he is interested in seeing the South East expansion in business and infrastructural development. He thanked SECCIMA for finding him worthy of the award.
