Supreme Court: Ihedioha’s Case Adjourned Again, See New Date

The Supreme Court has again adjourned the judgement review in the Imo governorship election to Tuesday, March 3.

A seven-man panel led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Muhammad, presided over the session where the review was adjourned.

Kanu Agabi (SAN), represented the applicant, Emeka Ihedioha while Damian Dodo (SAN), represented Governor Hope Uzodimna.

Taminu Inuwa represented the third respondent, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Ihedioha’s counsel, Agabi prayed the court to further adjourn till Tuesday to enable them prepare their arguments adequately.

“If it is convenient to you my Lord, we can come tomorrow so that we can look at the issues,” Kanu said.

But Damian Dodo, Uzodinma’s counsel objected to the request, adding that they were prepared to debate the issues today.

CJN Tanko subsequently adjourned the review to Tuesday.

Recall that Ihedioha’s counsel, Agabi had prayed the court to adjourn till Tuesday (March 2) to give them time to adequately argue their case.
