Housemaid Caught Assaulting Toddler While Bathing Her (Video)

A video currently circulating on the internet captures the moment a lady, said to be a housemaid, could be seen abusing a toddler while giving her a bath.

The video, which has elicited outrage from web users, shows the maid repeatedly hitting and pushing the child violently on the floor.

The housemaid could also be seen pulling the child’s legs and flinging her while washing her hair, leaving the little girl to break down in tears due to the pain of the torture.

In recent news, two sisters simply identified as Juliet and Chioma were arrested by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).

According to reports, both of them sold the child of their mentally challenged sister for N350,000.

NAPTIP arrested the sisters alongside a Pastor’s wife identified as Efe and 45-year-old Mrs. Alabi who allegedly bought the month-old-boy, after their brother, Chibuzor filed a complaint with the agency.

Chibuzor said when he questioned his sisters, they told him that they handed the child to someone who will take care of him.

Confirming the arrest, NAPTIP’s Commander Daniel Atokolo said this will make the fifth time the mentally challenged woman identified as Doris has had her children taken away from her.

“Many might argue that this is possible in the best interest of the children, but the agency calls on Nigerians to please explore legal means of adoption as purchase or sale of babies is a crime that is punishable by law. The illegal avenues also avail unscrupulous elements the opportunity to exploit both helpless young women and their young infants even for ungodly activities such as rituals.
