APC To Comply With Court’s Suspension Of Oshiomhole

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has pledged to comply with the suspension of its national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, by a Federal Capital Territory high court.

The FCT high court, on Wednesday, suspended The National Chairman of All Progressive Congress following an application filed by some APC stalwarts seeking the party chairman’s removal.

Justice Danlami Senchi, who delivered the ruling, asked the party chairman to step down as APC chairman pending the outcome of the suit.

Reacting, the acting national secretary of the All Progressive Congress, Victor Giadom, said: “The most important thing is that the party is going to respect the court order. The national working committee will meet soon on the matter.”

Giadom, who spoke to journalists at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, said the All Progressive Congress National Working Committee (NWC) would meet to deliberate on the development.

The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Jabi, Abuja, on Wednesday, ordered an interim suspension of Adams Oshiomhole as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress.

Delivering a ruling on an application for an interlocutory injunction, Justice Danlami Senchi, ordered Oshiomhole to remain on suspension pending the determination of the main suit.

The court held that the party wrongfully continued to retain him as its National Chairman while he is under suspension as a member of the party.

The judge, therefore, ordered Oshiomhole to stop parading himself as the National Chairman of the party and directed the party to cease acknowledging him in that regard.

In that regard, the Nigeria Police have taken over the secretariat building in Abuja. The Vice President of the party has voiced out his pleasure on seeing the National President suspended from been referred to as the National Chairman of APC.
