Coronavirus: Nigeria Confirms Third Virus Case

The case is a 30-year-old woman who travelled from the UK to Lagos on 13th of March 2020, who tested positive to the pandemic virus (Coronavirus).

The Lagos State Ministry of Health, which confirmed the case, said the patient is unconnected with the index case.

The infected, a 30-year-old Nigerian female who returned from the United Kingdom on Friday, observed self-isolation, developed symptoms and tested positive.

She is receiving care at Mainland General Hospital.

Meanwhile, British actor Idris Elba announced on Monday that he has tested positive for the deadly Coronavirus (COVID-19).

47-year-old Idris Elba announced this in a video he shared on his verified Twitter page.

He said in a video: “This morning I tested positive for Covid 19. I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus.

“Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing. No panic.”

Elba, who posted a video also featuring his wife Sabrina Dhowre, said she has not been tested and is “doing okay”.

He said he got tested after finding out on Friday that he had been in contact with someone who had the virus.

It comes after Tom Hanks announced he and wife Rita Wilson have been diagnosed with coronavirus.
