Ever heard the phrase- “Uwa bu ofu mbia,” defines the set of people who showed up Friday night, at a club in Nnewi. Is it a suicide, non-challancy or gross negligence of the impending doom?
Amidst the outbreak of coronavirus, and the social distance sermon, people turned up in their numbers at the club, with no care in the world, gumming sweaty bodies together, not a single sanitizer in sight, no preventive measures of any sort, club functionaries, moving caskets, exchanging physical pleasantries with regulars, looked like every regular day.
Before 10 pm, the gathering staggered, one would think social distancing was taking a toll, a few minutes before 10 pm, the influx began, humans in their 50s and below trouped in, men mostly, potbellied, heavyset, ready to Taa the money.
A while later, a different ambiance fell on the gathering felt like a 32-seater bus jarred its doors, next, an influx of some sexy, hot girls, most looking less than 20 and viola, it is Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching hospital students, rumoured the prettiest girls In Anambra troupes in; the irony! supposed medical practitioner. Kindly refuse to be disappointed.

Looks like the locals prefer 11 pm, these girls, these set of girls, mostly plus-sized, pretty must-say with extra belle fat. They stormed in to take their floor, you can picture them as local stylists, vendors of some sort, taking out time to rock away some stress, listen up people, It’s called COVID-19, its killing people. Well?
No one is listening, so we move!
What is the minimum age for entry into a club? 18 yea? This girl, the one on black leggings and a tank top on low cut and Nike boots needs to bring her umbilical cord from the 90s to convince anyone she is above 18.
People are dancing, whining, rolling bottles on bottles of all premium brands there is, the DJ kept saying party hard, everyone “zankuing.”
The conclusion is, nobody here gives a hoot about COVID-19. Well? Guess who danced the most- yours truly Nwanyi Abia(I actually danced far away from anyone though).
