Nnewi Youths Arrest Nine Suspected Criminals (Photos)

At least nine (9) people suspected to be criminals have been arrested in connection with various crimes going on in the popular Nwafor Orizu Nnewi Roundabout and 100 Foot Road.

The criminals who have been terrorising the town have continued to rob residents of the affected area of their belongings.

Okaforagu Emmanuel, a member of Uruagu Youth Forum confirmed this to Anaedoonline.com.

Okagoragu Emmanuel said that raid was led by Uruagu Nnewi Youth Forum, who broke into enclaves of the criminal elements at 100 Foot Road, Today, Monday, 23rd March, 2020.

While others were on the run, luck ran out of them of eight (8) of the hoodlums.

The criminals were arrested by the youths. They were further taken to Obi Uruagu Nnewi palace were they were paraded.

According to reports, they have been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force.

100 Foot Road Nnewi has always been a Red Zone every night for residents and passersby pass through hard times accessing the street as they are always being robbed of their phones and money.

It will be recalled that Nnewi Youths Forum (NYF) expressed willingness to partner the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in dealing with pressing security challenges and reducing crime in Nnewi.

The President of the Youth Forum, Ambassador Paul Muoneke, gave the assurance in a statement made available to anaedoonline.com.

Muoneke said that the interactive meeting between the Nigeria Police Force in Nnewi and some executive members of Nnewi Youth Forum was to form a synergy with the security agency and to also discuss issues bothering on relationship between the Nigeria Police Force and motorcyclists operating in the town.

Amb. Muoneke assured the police of the support and partnership of the new leadership of Nnewi Youth Forum in dealing with pressing security issues and reducing crime in Nnewi.

The meeting between Nnewi Youths Forum executives and the Nigeria Police Force in Nnewi was held with CSP Adewumi, who is the DPO of the Central Police Station (CPS); CSP Adewumi, ACP Nnanna Ama, who is the Commander of Nigeria Police, Nnewi Area Command
