Tacha Calls Out Buhari, “Hunger Is Deadlier Than Coronavirus” (Video)

Big Brother Naija star, Tacha Akide has called out President Muhammadu Buhari for his inability to address Nigerians over the coronavirus pandemic ravaging the country.

The controversial reality star opposed the lockdown measures being propagated by many as a means of containing the spread of the dreaded virus.

Tacha argued that ‘hunger is deadlier than coronavirus’. Hence, anyone pushing for a complete lockdown should also prepare to provide food for Nigerians who live on daily income.

While calling out president Buhari, Tacha queried if a president who speaks to his people in a recorded video shared on Twitter is truly a president.

However, Nigeria now has 81 confirmed cases of the COVID-19 after 11 new cases were confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) late Friday.

For the first time, the COVID-19 disease showed up in the country’s south-east as two cases were confirmed in Enugu state.

Lagos State, which has been described as the country’s hotspot, added eight COVID-19 cases, bringing the state’s total caseload to 52. One other case was recorded in Edo State.

Earlier on Friday, the NCDC had reported the discovery of five new cases, three in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and two in Oyo state. No new case was reported in Lagos.

But the last announcement on Friday further strengthens Lagos’ status as the country’s hotspot. In total, 16 new cases were confirmed on Friday.
