Imo state, the Eastern heartland witnessed what a lot of people will call the product of a careless building project, as a supposed hotel under construction collapse in Owerri.
The building which had workers on site collapsed in what onlookers termed a bizarre experience. It was some loud bang that follows the debris falling off the structures.
As at the time of this report, some bricklayers are stranded in the collapsed building as people battle to rescue them. According to a report Anaedoonline.com garnered, some of the bricklayers sustained serious injuries while an unconfirmed report suggests one or two deaths. The said incident happened along Yaradua drive, close to the popular Hot Fm studios.

Some police officials and residents are gathered at the scene doing their best to rescue those who may be trapped.
