The Lagos State police command have released music video director, Clarence Peters and his crew members on administrative bail following his detainment over the death of dancer and choreographer, Love Divine, popularly known as Picture Kodak.

The music director had been held at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Yaba, over the death of Kodak, who died on April 29 at Peters’ Omole Phase One residence, through electrocution as alleged.

Lagos police spokesman, Bala Elkana, said Clarence and others who were detained over the incident were released on Wednesday pending the outcome of the investigation.

He said: “They were granted bail while the investigation is ongoing. Members of the public will be updated on the outcome of the investigation as soon as it is concluded.”

The police are said to have visited Peters’ home studio where Kodak died, while an autopsy has been conducted by the government.

Kodak was said to have been electrocuted when she received a call on her mobile phone while it was charging.

In a statement released earlier in the week, Peters said several hospitals rejected Kodak for fear that she had coronavirus.
