The Executive Governor of Sokoto State, Governor Aminu Tambuwal, has lost his father, Sheikh Haruna Tambuwal.
He died on Thursday aged 96 after a brief illness at his residence in Tambuwal Council of Sokoto.

The nonagenarian has been buried according to Islamic rites. He is survived by children, including the governor, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
