Edo 2020: Atiku Welcomes Obaseki To ‘Repositioned’ PDP

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has welcomed Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a tweet on Friday, Atiku said he was confident the people of Edo would be better off with the governor now a PDP member.

“Congratulations, @GovernorObaseki on joining our party, @OfficialPDPNig — the truly people’s party. I am confident that the people of Edo State will be the better for it,” Atiku wrote.

“You are indeed coming aboard a repositioned PDP that promotes good governance for the benefit of Nigerians.”

Obaseki joined the PDP on Friday after dumping the All Progressives Congress (APC) three days earlier.
