Ghanaian authorities had since apologised for the demolition, saying the perpetrators would be brought to book.

A block of uncompleted apartments, meant for staff and visiting diplomats, on the commission’s property were demolished last Friday after a Ghanaian businessman claimed the commission encroached on his land.

It was gathered that some staff of the commission were also threatened in the process.
