The Embattled Ondo Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi, has asked the Speaker of the Ondo Assembly, Baidele Oleyelogun, to immediately resign from office.

Anaedoonline.com reports that the call by the Ondo Deputy Governor is coming after he was served a notice of impeachment signed by 14 lawmakers after resigned from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and defected to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The impeachment process of the Ondo Deputy Governor was stalled by the Chief Judge, Justice Olarenwaju Akeredolu who said the lawmakers were yet to fulfil the constitutional processes before calling on her to set up a seven-man investigative panel.
