Chris Willock opened the scoring for the host before Dara O’Shea levelled proceedings on the stroke of half time for the visitors.

Emile Smith Rowe then netted a late goal to give Huddersfield all three points against West Brom.

West Brom’s defeat also means that Leeds can no longer drop out of the top two with two games left for them to play in the Championship.

However, Brentford can move above West Brom into the automatic promotion positions if they win tomorrow night.

Meanwhile, Leeds have kept 21 clean sheets in the Championship this season. They are currently on top of the Championship table with 87 points after 44 games. Their next game is against Derby on Sunday.

Simon Grayson thinks Leeds United will be welcomed back into the Premier League where they will be able to renew some old rivalries.

Former manager Grayson is delighted to see them back in the Premier League and believes it is a great thing for the city.

Simon Grayson was Leeds manager between 2008 and 2012 and was most recently at Blackpool

He told talkSPORT: “I think it’s a massive achievement. Something that’s been waiting to happen for a long time – sixteen years since the Premier League.

“Even up to last night people were anxious and nervous about whether it was going to happen.

“Doing it the Leeds way, it could go wrong. It will be a moment of relief for the football supporters and city in general.

“They will just be enjoying it now. It’s what they’ve worked so hard for.

“He’s (Marcelo Bielsa) a demanding coach and the players have worked extremely hard and have been very patient.

“They will renew some big rivalries next season with Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool.

“It’s a great thing that has happened for the city of Leeds and I think the Premier League will welcome Leeds back there because of the fanbase, the rivalries and expectancy levels and everything that goes with Leeds United being part of the Premier League.
