Unknown Gunmen Raid The Palace Of Nnewi Traditional Ruler, Kidnap Son

Unknown Gunmen in the early hours of this morning invaded the house of the Traditional Ruler of Umudim Nnewi, His Highness, Obi Benneth Okafor (Amaukwu).

According to reports made available to Anaedoonline.com, the gunmen who are suspected to be officers of the Special Anti-Cultism Squad (SACS) of Nigeria Police Force, broke into the residence of the Traditional ruler at about 002:43 am.

The gunmen who were not in any uniform and masked, jumped the fence, broke the key of the entrance door and took the son of the traditional ruler, Miracle Chibuike Okafor.

While reports of the invasion have been reported to Nnewi Police Command, the whereabout of the son of the traditional is yet to be known.

It will be recalled that in the early hours of Sunday Morning, the anti-cult squad invaded the houses of many residents of Nnewi and made arrests for alleged cult activities.

However, this police unit set up to contain cult activities have been accused of arresting innocent citizens systematically torturing detainees in its custody as a means of extracting confessions and lucrative bribes.

They regularly demand bribes, steal and extort money from suspects and their families. These officers are feeding fat through their brutality.

In another report, a resident doctor identified as Dr. Sunny Afore was abducted by unknown gunmen at about 11:30 pm on Sunday.

According to reports the abduction took place at Central Hospital in Ojobo Community, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.

The gunmen were said to have disguised as patients in the hospital and in the process shot sporadically into the air before they abducted their victim who was on duty.

It was also learned that the gunmen went away with the medical doctor through the rivers.
