Police have arrested a 21-year-old man in Anambra state for allegedly sodomizing underage boys in the state.
Obimeze Maduabuchi Augustine, the accused, who is from Ofianta village, Nsugbe, in Anambra East Local Government Area of the state, was arrested for allegedly forcing himself on two boys, aged five and seven respectively, on different occasions.
In a statement from the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Haruna Mohammed.
The spokesperson said Obimese was arrested by the police detectives attached to B’ Division, Awka, following a tip-off. According to a statement, the suspect voluntarily confessed to committing the crime and blamed his acts on peer group influences.
“The scene of the crime was visited by the police detectives and the two victims, all boys, were taken to the hospital for medical examination,” Haruna said
Haruna said the state commissioner of police, CP John B. Abang, has ordered the transfer of the case to the state criminal investigation department (CID) for discreet investigations after which the suspect would be charged to court.
Recall that Anaedoonline.ng reported that Police operatives attached to Okija Division have arrested one Raphael Mbanyereude alias (Papa Okoye) aged 75 years of Okija in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.
SP Haruna Mohamed, PPRO Anambra State Police Command in a release stated that On the 17 March 2020 at about 11:am, following a formal complaint, the suspect allegedly had unlawful carnal knowledge with two minors all females, aged 2 and four years (Children of the same parent) respectively.
The dastardly act was discovered by the Children’s mother when she saw her children crying and holding their private parts, She then became curious and checked only to discover water coming out and their private parts became reddish as well.
Meanwhile, victims were taken to the hospital for medical examination where laceration of their hymen was confirmed. The suspect has voluntarily confessed to the crime.
Consequently, the Commissioner of Police CP John B.Abang, FDC has ordered for immediate transfer of the case to the State CID for discreet investigation after which suspect would be charged to Court for prosecution.
The CP equally enjoined parents to strictly monitor their children in order to avert similar ugly incidents, please.

Recently, an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court, remanded a 29-year-old man, Afeez Saka, in Kirikiri Prisons for allegedly defiling his friend’s ten-year-old daughter (names withheld).
Saka of no fixed address is facing a two-count charge of defilement and stealing before Chief Magistrate, Mrs. Olufunke Sule-Amzat,
Prosecuting ASP Benson Emuerhi told the court that Saka committed the offenses on October 1 at No. 8, Lisabi Street, Old Otta Road, Moshalashi, Alagbado area of Lagos.
ASP Emuerhi alleged that the defendant, who was a family friend to the parents of the survivor, visited their home at a time the victim’s parents were not at home.
He alleged that the defendant took advantage of the absence of the parents of the girl and forcibly had carnal knowledge of her. Arrested
