55-Year-Old Man Held In Captivity For 30 Years By Father, Rescued By Police

In Rogo local government in Kano State, a 55-year-old man chained to a heavy log of wood by the father for 30 years, has been rescued by the police and human rights organizations on Thursday, August 20, 2020.

The man was left in his father’s house where his leg was chained to a block of wood in Sheka quarters within Kano metropolis.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, confirmed the rescue but added that information was sketchy.

This is following in series of other rescues by the police of men held in captivity, including that of a man locked up for 15 years by his father.

30-Year-Old Man Locked Up In A Room For Seven Years (Videos)

Recall that Anaedoonline reported about a yet to be identified 32-year-old man, who was allegedly locked up in a room by his parents for 15 years, has been rescued by men of the Kano state police command at Sheka neighborhood, Kano state.

The victim, who was said to have been chained and caged for an undisclosed reason, was rescued after concerned neighbors alerted the police.

According to reports, he was weak, malnourished, and emaciated when he was rescued. He was immediately rushed to Nasarawa Hospital in Kano.

This comes three days after the police rescued Ahmad Aliyu, 32, a resident of Farawa Babban Layi, in Mariri Quarters of Kumbotso Local Government Area, after seven years of been locked up by his parents and a case of a young boy locked up for 2 years.
