Businessman In Aba Arrests A Lady He Met Online For Collecting 8k And Refusing To Visit

Lady based in Port Harcourt has been arrested and charged to court, by a businessman based in Aba for allegedly duping him of N8500 meant for her transportation fare from Port Harcourt to Aba.

The spurned 31-year-old man said he met the 22-year-old Queen Benita online, precisely Facebook. The duo was said to have come to an agreement that she will visit him in Aba, on the 10th of October, 2019. The businessman said he was lured to send her N8500 to her Access Bank Account as transport.

Chukwudi’s lawyer, Ken Ukpai Esq, demanded the compensation of N850,000 for his client, he argued that if his client, had invested since 10th October 2019 he would have made more than the demanded compensation and that the two entered into a binding contract. The law court enforces contracts and not agreements.

He further stated that the act was a premeditated act to defraud his client and in separate petitions to the force headquarters and the court.
