On the resumption, a statement by Diri’s acting Chief Press Secretary, Daniel Alabrah, said Diri directed the Head of Service, Mrs Biobelemoye Charles-Onyeama to ensure that workers abide by all COVID-19 safety guidelines when they resume.

Diri also directed that, while students in exit classes were taking their examinations, all primary six pupils should also resume academic activities, adding that government was evaluating situations, pending when other classes would resume.

He also set up a sub-committee made up of Technical Adviser on Security, Boma Spero-Jack, Apoku and service commanders to liaise with proprietors of night clubs, supermarkets and banks on ways of ensuring compliance with the presidential guidelines on COVID-19.
