The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, in Anambra is getting worried over recklessness of driver which often result to road crashes.
NNEWI: Hit And Run Driver Injures Two Opposite FRSC Office
In his report about road crashes, spokesman of the Command, RC Kamal Musa, said,
‘A serious Road Traffic Crash occurred as a result of loss of control due to excessive speeding involving a Toyota Haice bus driven by one Mr Ifeanyi Udeh, with registration number UKP 742 ZU recorded today at 1730hrs, 1st September 2020, near Awkuzu junction along Onitsha- Awka express way.”
Musa, said a total of twenty two people 14 male adults, 5 Female Adults and 3 Children were involved.
According to him, 3 male adults, 3 female adults and 3 male children sustained varying degrees of injuries and were rushed to Chira hospital Awkuzu, by FRSC rescue team from Nteje Unit Command while the obstruction was cleared.
He also reported a minor Road Traffic Crash as a result of loss of control due to break failure involving a M/Benz 911 Truck belonging to Oduwas and farms holdings with registration number UK 92 XW and a yellow Mitsubishi (300) bus with registration number GOD 152 ZT recorded today at 1040hrs, 1st September 2020,at the T junction Umunachi Nteje along Onitsh- Awka old road.
A total of Fifteen people 10 male adults, 5 Female Adults were involved and non of the victims sustained injury.
The FRSC operatives from Nteje Unit Command were on ground controlling traffic while effort is being made to clear the road of obstruction .
The Sector Commander Anambra Sector Command, CC Andrew A. Kumapayi warned motorists to abide by traffic rules and regulations and also ensure regular vehicle maintenance as road traffic crashes are avoidable.
