Ondo 2020: We Will Teach Tinubu A Lesson, He Is A Day Dreamer – PDP

Bola Tinubu

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ondo State has described as shameful the National Leader of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for having just a single project to celebrate in the state.

The Ondo State chapter of the Nigeria’s opposition party in a statement released on Sunday, September 6, said it will surprised the former Lagos State governor come October 10, a date scheduled for the state governorship election.

PDP in the statement titled, ‘Bola Tinubu is a day dreamer’, signed by the state PDP Publicity Secretary, Mr Kennedy Peretei, in Akure yesterday boasted that it will defeat APC in the forth coming governoship election in the state.

Anaedoonline.ng understands that the party’s statement was coming as a reaction following an alleged statement by Tinubu, who had described the PDP as “dead” in Ondo state.

It was reported that Tinubu while inaugurating the Ondo State Internal Revenue Service Complex, in Akure on Saturday, Setpember 5 declared that the PDP was dead and would be buried in Ondo during the October 10 governorship election.

Reacting to the statement, PDP said, “It is shameful that the only project Tinubu came to inaugurate in three and half years is the Revenue House, a building that stands as a sign post of multiple taxation of the Ondo State people,”

The opposition party added saying, “Only last year, the PDP defeated the Buhari-led APC roundly at the presidential elections. The PDP also won two out of the three senatorial seats in Ondo State. How can such a party by any stretch of imagination be said to be dead?”

“The PDP is offering affordable education and health care delivery as against Aketi engineered astronomical tuition fees that have thrown many of the students in tertiary institutions out of school. By October 10, Tinubu will know which party is dead in Ondo State,” PDP reiterated.
