ANAMBRA 2021: Nzukora-Nnewi UK Calls for A Governor of “Nnewi Extraction”

Ahead of the 2021 gubernatorial elections, the Nnewi Indigenes in the United Kingdom and Ireland under the aegis of “Nzukora- Nnewi UK/Ireland” have urged everyone of Nnewi descent to work towards electing a Governor of Nnewi extraction.

The Anambra state election which is billed to take place November 2021, has been generating a lot of controversy on which zone will take over the leadership. According to an unwritten memorandum, the 2021 election is expected to be zoned to Anambra South, which is where the Nnewi North Local Government belongs.

According to the press statement signed by the groups Chairman Chief Chukwuemeka Emmanuel Ofoma, Secretary, Mr Ifeanyi Abiaefo, and coordinator Prince Okwy Nwosu, it stated that Nnewi had supported other zones in the past and believe it is time for a Governor from Nnewi. They urged their members to nominate a candidate of Nnewi Extraction.

!………OPEN LETTER TO ALL STAKEHOLDERS OF NNEWI, RE-GOVERNORSHIP ANAMBRA STATE 2021 !!

 

Dear All,

The entire members of “Nzukora Nnewi UK/Ireland write to inform that the forthcoming Gubernatorial Election 2021 remains a project to be taken seriously.

We have taken due diligence in analysing the power shift in relation to Governorship since creation of the state and believe that the time is Now for Anambra State Governor of Nnewi extraction. Nnewi had supported other zones in the past individually and collectively loyally.

There is no gain saying talking about strategic position of Nnewi in Anambra State in all spheres of life in particular and Nigeria in general. Such wealth of experience when properly deployed in governance of Anambra State will energise the entire state and thereby maximise the full potential that abound in the state.

We therefore urge All stakeholders/All political parties to seize this clarion call and nominate their candidates of Nnewi extraction from their respective parties for “fairness and equity” that Nnewi had played since creation of Anambra State.

We in Nzukora Nnewi UK/Ireland will partner with All stakeholders to ensure that this vision is achieved and together engage other zones in the state to achieve this. Together we can!!!
