EPL: Team Updates As Man Utd, Chelsea Renew Rivalry

Christian Pulisic has handed Frank Lampard a major boost after revealing he is fit to face Man United on Saturday, October 24.

Pulisic has been battling a hamstring problem for days now, ruling him out of a number of matches.

The winger was initially forced off during his side’s FA Cup final against Arsenal, before he made a comeback as a substitute in Chelsea’s 4-0 win over Crystal Palace.

He got further minutes under his belt in Southampton’s 3-3 draw at the weekend and went on to feature in the Blues’ barren draw against Sevilla in the Champions League.

However, the ex-Dortmund star has declared he is now fit to play full 90 minutes ahead of the west London side’s trip to Old Trafford.

“Fitness-wise I feel great, I’m getting back to where I was, I feel strong, I feel like I can play 90 minutes. So yeah, I’m happy,” Metro UK quoted him saying on his fitness.

Pulisic’s imminent return to full action comes at a time Frank Lampard was handed a double injury boost in Thiago Silva and Édouard Mendy.

The two players featured in Chelsea’s fixture against Sevilla, playing an integral part in helping their side keep a clean sheet.

However, they will be wary of United, with the Manchester coming off a stunning 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

Both teams have a endured a mixed start to the new season, with Chelsea picking just two wins from five rounds of matches.

Man United have equally won two and lost two including their 6-1 demolishing by Tottenham at Old Trafford.
