It has been quite a good few days for Frank Lampard’s side so far and they will be looking to end the week in style with three points at Turf Moor.
Hakim Ziyech scored his first Premier League goal for Chelsea as Frank Lampard’s side kept their fourth clean sheet in a row.
Ziyech, who nearly joined Burnley as an FC Twente player in 2016, marked his first league start in England by wrongfooting Nick Pope at Turf Moor to fire dominant Chelsea ahead midway through the first half.
Kurt Zouma and Timo Werner wrapped up the points after the interval to leave Chelsea fifth and Burnley stuck in the bottom three and looking for their first win of the season.
In Champions League action on Wednesday as they travelled to Russia to take on Krasnodar, the Blues left with a 4-0 win thanks to goals from Callum Hudson-Odoi, Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic.
Lampard is expected to change things about for today’s game in Lancashire having claimed he has a “tired group” following the long trip to Russia.
Chelsea have fared well at Turf Moor in the past couple of seasons, with Christian Pulisic netting a hat-trick last October, but games are never straightforward against Sean Dyche’s side and it will be very much be the same today.
