UCL: Guardiola Hails Man City Players After Defeating Olympiacos

Manchester city coach Pep Guardiola has praises his team after last night victory. A goal each from Ferran Torres, Gabriel Jesus and Joao Cancelo were all Manchester City needed to claim their third straight win in the Champions League this campaign.

Having already beaten FC Porto and Marseille in their first two meetings, the Premier League giants produced yet another superb performance to outshine their Greek opponent at the Etihad,

The victory also means that they have kept two clean sheets in their first three outings in Europe this campaign as they eye their first title on the continent.

City took the lead in the 12th minute through summer signing, Torres, after making a one-two pass with Kevin De Bruyne.

He then made a run down the right side of the danger zone before placing the ball straight onto the left corner of the goal post.

The goal gave the hosts the momentum to dictate the pace of the game as they pressed further in search of more goals in the opening half of the encounter.

However, they were denied chances of adding to their tally for the rest of the first half by the visitors as they headed for the dressing room for the short break.

The away team maintained their decency in the backline for the most part of the second half as they defended quite well, but eventually gave way for the second goal just nine minutes from time.

Meanwhile, it took Cancelo just eight minutes after replacing Kyle Walker to register his name on the scores sheet.

The Portuguese scored from outside the box after receiving a timely pass from Felix Nmecha in the 90th minute.
