American comedian and actress Kathy Griffin has retweeted a gory photo of President Donald Trump’s bloodied head that got her fired from her CNN co-hosting gig in 2017.
Griffin retweeted the photo on her 60th birthday on Wednesday after Trump declared victory in the ongoing US elections while collation is going on in different states in the country.
She was fired from her CNN gig co-hosting the network’s New Year’s Eve special with Anderson Cooper, after the original photo came public.

Cooper called the gruesome image “disgusting and completely inappropriate.”
In 2019, Griffin reflected on the fallout from the photoshoot: “I was on the no-fly list for two months, I was interrogated under oath … [Federal investigators] were considering very seriously charging me with the crime of conspiracy to assassinate the president of the United States.”
