News Update: APC Chairman Abducted, Police Confirms

The Police Command in Nasarawa State has confirmed the abduction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) state chairman, Philip Shekwo.

The incident occurred on Saturday.

Commissioner of Police, Bola Longe, spoke to newsmen on Sunday in Lafia, the state capital.

Breaking: Senator Buhari declared winner by Election Tribunal

He disclosed that the politician was seized from his residence in Bukan-Sidi, Lafia around 11 pm.

Longe assured that operatives had been deployed to search various forests and flashpoints to ensure the rescue of the APC chieftain.

The party remains divided in the state.

Factions led by former Governor, Abdulaziz Yari and former Senator, Kabir Marafa are battling for control.
