Hunter Biden, the son of US President-elect, Joe Biden, has disclosed that the US attorney’s office in Delaware had opened an investigation into his “tax affairs”.
According to report, Hunter Biden has long been a target of President Donald Trump and his allies.
Hunter Biden said in a statement on Wednesday that he was informed about the investigation on Tuesday by his lawyer.

“I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisers,” Hunter Biden said.
Many people believe that Trump and his allies had taken steps to tarnish the political image of Joe Biden with the corruption charges involving his son.
Recall that the House of Representatives had impeached Trump earlier.
This was after the President pressured the newly elected president of Ukraine to investigate Hunter Biden’s work in the country while Joe Biden was US Vice-President under former President, Barack Obama.
