Innoson Kiara Academy Graduates 4th Set in Style, Awards N6 million Worth equipment to Students.

The fourth graduation ceremony of Innoson Kiara Academy(IKA) held Friday 11th December 2020 at the IVM mega factory Nnewi, was colourfully celebrated in style, as it was witnessed by distinguished representatives from the state and the federal government. Innoson Kaira Academy is a Technical and Vocational institution established by an international consulting firm in partnership with Innoson Group of Companies aimed at practical car assembling and maintenance studies. 

The 2020 “IKA” graduation ceremony certified 150 students from the academy and awarded outstanding performance to three distinguished students, presented by Mrs Sally Mbanefo, the Honorable Commissioner, Solid minerals, Oil and Gas and Tertiary Education Anambra state. 

The awarded students are Engr. Gloria Ekwulugo who was awarded most outstanding trainee, Mr Uwazie Chidiebere Darlington was awarded most honest trainee and Mr Akubueze Victor awarded most dedicated trainee.

The awards further qualified them for the BOSCH training which serves as an advanced form of training commencing January 2021, after completion, they will be awarded equipment worth 6 million Naira. 

As an icing to the cake, the Chairman/CEO, Innoson group Chief Innocent Chukwuma while admonishing the graduates promised to absorb any of them interested in the company’s workforce.

The ceremony started with a courtesy call to the residence of the Chief Chukwuma followed by the arrival of Mrs Sally Mbanefo, Mr Endi Ezengwa the CEO Innoson Kiara Academy, and other special guests present at the reserved guests’ table. 

Opening prayers were anchored by Mr Olivia Ikwueto. Opening remark given by Mr Ezengwa admonished the students to do the most with the skills and investments that have been given to them, reminding them that they are the privileged few who got accepted into the programme. He revealed that he is working hard to ensure partnership with banks and other bodies to include sponsorship of equipment as part of the takeaway after the programme. 

A representative of NECA, Mrs Nancy Ako reminded the graduates that NECA’s arms are always open for them to reach out if the need arises.

Before the certificate presentation, Mrs Mbanefo promised to work with NECA in near time to ensure their aims in Anambra state are achieved.

She further revealed that the Federal government, in collaboration with the state government and subsequently the private sector, where Innoson Vehicles is lead has instituted an ongoing partnership that will train 500, 000 students on the use of gas for manufacturing in place of fuel. These trainees will be further deployed to industries, this will reduce the cost of production by over 60%.

Graduands took turns to display their talents and the knowledge they have acquired at the academy. Body maintenance department presented an entertaining dance drama to explain the various steps taken to paint and maintain car exterior. 

Adirika Ogochukwu on behalf of the mechanical department presented a newscast language which earned her a commendation and reward from Mr Endi Ezengwa and members of the guests’ table.  In attendance were the following; The CEO, Innoson Group- Chief Innocent Chukwuma, The CEO Innoson Kiara Academy- Mr Endi Ezengwa, The representative of NECA(Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association) Mr Mike Samuel, the representative from ITF(Industrial Training Funds) Mrs Nancy Ako. Also present were members of NATA, trainers and staff of IKA, among others.

The excited graduates were treated to sumptuous refreshments and it was dance dance dance afterwards.
